Creating digital access to teaching resources for the future generation
Since 1851 the Lehrmittelverlag Zürich, abbreviated LMVZ, has been producing teaching materials up to
the end of compulsory schooling. It operates with the aim of supporting equal opportunities for
students by using the same teaching materials while taking into account the participation of the
teaching staff in the production of politically neutral teaching materials. The publishing house,
which in its early days produced teaching materials exclusively for the Canton of Zurich, has now
become the market leader in the Swiss learning media landscape.
As the agency responsible for the rebranding, Process received the follow-up
order to redesign the online shop. The conception of the navigation architecture and the content
structure was already defined by a technical partner and implemented as a kind of unbranded mvp.
Regarding this situation, the mission for me consisted merely of visualizing the user interface in a
digital and modern manner based on the existing brand guidelines. Since I have a little experience in
frontend development and would describe me as a strong enthusiast of smooth microinteractions and
animations, I coded some prototypes in codepen while designing the user interface.
